Hello, my name is Byron Polk, aka, "Doctor Access".

Thank you for visiting my personal web page. I am happy to let you know more about me and the services I consistently provide to my clients.
I am an Access Database Developer with over 15 years experience using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) features of Microsoft Access to develop and maintain quality database applications. You may be wondering just where the "Doctor Access" nick name came from. Recently, a contact from one of my clients called me. When I answered the phone, the first words out of her mouth were, "Is Doctor Access available?" From that point on, the nick name stuck. While I do not have a degree, I have been quite successful in helping my clients.
A little history:
I have worked for companies like: Children's Medical Center of Dallas, The University Southwest Medical School, Nortel, Southland Corporation, KPMG, BNSF Railroad, UniTrin Insurance Company, Mid-America Mortgage, Carriker Corporation, Ryan & Company, Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Verizon, Haggar Clothing Co., Hunt Petroleum and Shell Oil.
I designed, developed the syllabus and taught a "Facility Management" course at Mountain View Community College in Dallas, TX. This course taught students how to use AutoCAD linked to a Microsoft Access® database to do facility management. I have also served an an instructor at a local Junior College.
